SMU Online MBA Fees 2026: Full Fee Structure

Scholarships stack on top of the 10% concession for paying upfront, whether it's the full, annual or semester fee. Going the loan or financing route cancels these extra discounts.
Is the SMU Online MBA Valid?
Short answer: yes. The degree is UGC-entitled, and SMU says its online degrees carry the same standing as a campus degree. UGC entitlement is usually the first thing employers and government bodies look for, so that box is ticked.

SMU Online MBA Eligibility and Admission Process
The basic requirement is a bachelor's degree in any subject with at least 50% aggregate (45% for reserved categories). There's no entrance exam, and you don't need any work experience either.

How to apply for the SMU online MBA
- Apply onlineFill in your personal, education and work details on the Online Manipal portal, then pay the ₹500 application fee.
- Pay the feePay for the first semester, the first year or the whole program, depending on the plan you've picked.
- Upload documentsMark sheets, ID proof and any other supporting documents requested.
- University approvalSMU checks your documents and, once everything's in order, confirms your admission.
There's more than one admission cycle each year, so the deadline depends on which session you're aiming for. The official site will have the current last date.
Exams, Learning Platform and Placements
Exams
Exams are computer-based and proctored online. You can take them from home, but you'll need a Windows laptop or desktop with Chrome.
You need at least 40% in each part to pass a course. Resits and revaluation are available at extra cost.
Learning platform (LMS)
Classes are a mix of live lectures, recorded videos and discussion forums. The LMS also has built-in AI tools (SummarizeMe, QuizMe and an AI Professor chatbot) plus an e-library.
You must complete at least 75% of the self-learning content before you're allowed to sit the final exams.
